If you are looking for a chain hotel, this is not the place to stay. If you’re looking for a good place to stay the night and something that’s cheap, I highly recommend. The front desk was very friendly. This is a non for profit hotel. I had never heard of this but apparently they exist. I would stay again when I drive back up to Missouri.

Being remodeled, check in was was quick and friendly. Room was spacious and clean and odor free, gift baskit was a very pleasant surprise. Bed was comfy and internet was good. The AC is mounted high so it may present a problem for people who are under 5'10".

Richard is absolutely a gem to this place. 5 stars all day long for the service, accommodating factors like food twice a day right down the road for free. Any concerns ive had, they have always taken care of. Absolutely a great place to stay extremely affordable, great upkeep with routine pest control. Ive enjoyed every night sleep here.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I live here due to a series of unfortunate life & health issues & tribulations. This is the only place in town we could find to live because rentals are either too expensive, won't take pets, any people with eviction or require several thousand in deposits, 1st & last months rent plus utilities, water & sewer connection it all adds up. Just to move into any place is upwards of $2500+! No one on a fixed income or Disability can afford that, this is Lake City, not Miami, San Francisco or NYC!! This Town is way overpriced which is funny, we have money for road projects, Politicians wanna raise Property & Sales taxes, BUT nothing for those who aren't a part of the GOB Network! We are lacking in Social Services for the homeless, poor & addicts. I guess all those New Residents from Out of State moving in & Bidenomics here have drastically changed the price of EVERYTHING in Columbia County, & many of Lake City's Elderly, Poor, Military Veterans, the Drug Addicted, & other Marginalized Lake Citians are forced move away, live in their cars, live on the streets here or in a shelter in Gainesville, the ONLY one in this area, & they doesn't have the space or resources to house more than 100 people. This is No Longer the same Town I moved to in 2004 Sadly.... (End Rant) Now back to the real reason for this post, Motel 8. It may not look like much from the outside, but honestly, It's not a bad place to live, the manager is a great guy, very helpful & kind. They address any issues we have had promptly. It's a bit expensive by the month, but includes WiFi, Cable & Streaming, Electric, Water & Sewer for about $1040/mo. ($40/mo is towards the deposit, until you pay it off.) If you ever find yourself in need of a place to rest & get back on your feet, call & speak to Justin, the Manager to check availability... P.S. He also runs the Veterans Apartments, if you're a Military Veteran & need a place to live, call Justin to check availability!

Lived here 2 years now. Other customers vary in how they are as neighbors. Some are like family noe! There is a roach problem, even though Orkin sprays monthly,( they could be spraying w/ h2o judging by its effectiveness ! ). Management is ik but moody! But location us excellent for stores & storage facility is close by. Schools aren't far either. Pets are allowed . Has a dig park(fenced in). Some rooms nicer than others. Food is ok, better than hunger or a dumpster! But overall is tolerable in a pinch! They saved me from being homeless w/ my dogs!
